Sports Therapy

Sports therapy has progressed from just treating injured athletes, to physio dealing with muscular-skeletal and joint injuries in all populations.

Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare utilising the principles of sport and exercise sciences incorporating physiological and pathological processes in the Rehabilitation process.

Approximately 90% of all sports injuries are non-surgical which makes specialist sports therapists an excellent initial point-of-contact for diagnosis.

Our Sports Therapists are trained to at least degree level in musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, similar to the skills learnt by musculoskeletal physiotherapists. High-velocity, low-amplitude spinal manipulations comparable to those techniques used by Chiropractors and Osteopaths can also be used as part of our treatments along with acupuncture and dry needling.
